The Karma cold-pressed juice is made with kale, spinach, pineapple, and coconut water – we source our ingredients locally and the final juice is raw and unpasteurized, this also means that we do not use the HPP (high pressure pasteurization) method.
1/4 lb of kale per bottle
Kale is an excellent source of beta-carotene, sulfur, vitamin C and the trace mineral selenium, which is excellent for fighting cancer, protecting against heart disease, improving conditions of arthritis, slowing the aging process, encouraging beautiful skin and increasing male potency. It is also an excellent source of bone-building calcium and magnesium. We source all of our kale from Simington Gardens in Aurora, OR! Learn more about Simington Gardens on Our Farmerspage.
1/4 lb of spinach per bottle
Spinach is important due to its chlorophyll content, while also supplying an abundance of nutrients such as oxalic acid, beneficial in the cleansing and healing of the intestinal tract. Spinach is also filled with Vitamin E, which is so important to stimulate a healthy immune system and keeps your brain cells healthy and active. The high iron content in spinach is also critical in helping create energy.
1/3 of a pineapple per bottle
Pineapple contains half of the daily-recommended value of vitamin C, according to the FDA. Vitamin C is a primarily water-soluble antioxidant that fights cell damage, making vitamin C a helpful fighter against problems such as heart disease and joint pain. The fruit also contains nearly 75 percent of the daily recommended value of the mineral manganese, which is essential in developing strong bones and connective tissue. Pineapple also contains significant amounts of bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down protein, possibly helping digestion and inflammation.
6 ounces of coconut water per bottle
A single coconut usually provides an 11 ounce serving of water, and it is low in calories and fat but rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. A few key nutrients in Coconut Water include Lauric acid, Chloride, and Iron, as well as important electrolytes such as Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium, and Phosphorous. In fact, the potassium content in Coconut Water is close to twice the amount in a banana. A healthy balance of electrolytes is important for the optimal health of our muscular, cardiovascular, nervous and immune systems, as well as to help with the absorption and balance of the body’s internal fluids.
